Does your carpet need a good cleaning?  Even in homes where everyone in the household is trained to take their shoes off before entering the house, the carpets can get dirty over time.  This is especially true in homes where there are children and pets like ours.  Our carpet cleaning tips are tried and true, even against the toughest messes.

Thank you to Stanley Steemer for partnering to sponsor this post.

Does your carpet need a good cleaning? These tried and true carpet cleaning tips will have you singing their praises. #ad

As a family of five now {yes I’m counting the dog} it’s become tougher to keep up with the messes.  Between the girls and their snack crumbs somehow always sneaking away from the table to keeping up with the accidents of a new puppy, our carpets have seen some recent messes.  We wouldn’t want our family any other way, but it definitely requires some carpet cleaning maintenance.

Many of you might remember that my husband is a bit crazy about the vacuuming in the house. He vacuums the downstairs at least three to four times a week and does the upstairs and stairs at least once to twice a week.  He likes his carpets clean, but with Charlie in the mix, it’s a bit more difficult to keep them clean.

In order to maintain the messes, we called in the professionals.  Stanley Steemer stepped in and saved the day.  My favorite part was that they had 6 rooms and one stairwell done in just about an hour.  Plus, they adjusted my original estimate of the number of rooms I wanted cleaned from my original scheduling that I made online.

Carpet Cleaning Tips with professionals

Regular carpet cleaning is highly recommended to keep keep the overall health of the home and this is especially true if anyone in the home has allergies.  Stanley Steemer’s carpet cleaning service is Certified asthma & allergy friendlyTM and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America recommends that carpets get cleaned three to four time per year by a professional service.    The great thing is that Stanley Steemer does more than just clean your carpets.  They also offer deodorizing services, which I was thrilled about since I’m not a fan of my house smelling like dog.

Although, I certainly wouldn’t trade him.  Would you?  Just look at that face!

Not only were the carpets cleaned, deodorized and protected, but they were also raked through to improve the tread marks of where we routinely walk in our house.  You could literally see our path to our bed in our bedroom, but once the rake went through it improved tremendously.  Stanley Steemer continued to impress me throughout the visit.  Did you know that they clean air ducts, upholstery, hardwood floors and even tile floors?  I wish I had known this for our bathroom floor in our old house in NY.  The grout drove me crazy!

Stanley Steemer also has their own product line for specific issues as well.  I swear this spot remover is liquid gold for cleaning out mud issues from Charlie.  Plus, they have an entire series of Home Remedy Videos so that any issue you run into you’ll know how to clean it.

The spot remover even managed to get out the mud stains on our bathroom area rug that Charlie was clearly a culprit of.   Carpet cleaning just got so much easier once I realized how many products and services that were offered.
